Lunch and Recess Paraprofessional - 3 Hours Per Day

About the role

Amherst Middle School seeks a part-time Paraprofessional to monitor lunch and recess for grades 5-8. The position involves assisting with behavioral management and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students in following school rules and procedures.
• Provide supervision of students during lunch and recess.
• Aid in behavioral management to ensure a safe and orderly environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with adolescents.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to enforce basic school rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience working with children.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to carry out school rules and procedures.
• Ability to establish a supportive relationship with students.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and staff.
• Effective verbal communication skills.

Benefits

Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, the individual will assist with managing the lunch and recess to provide a safe environment.

Schedule

15 hours per week, 3 hours per day.
