Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates, proposals, and project documentation to support construction and building product projects.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, project management, purchasing, and customers to ensure all project requirements are clearly understood and executed.
- Coordinate, plan, and complete accurate proposals, submittals, and project orders for Multi-family and commercial projects across the country.
- Assist in assessing and preparing plan material takeoffs, quote requests & preparation, proposal write-ups, and submittal to General Contractors.
- Communicate with Project Managers and review specification documents to determine appropriate product selections and pricing.
- Prepare shop drawings, product samples, and project submittals in accordance with related job requirements.
- Coordinate job orders and assist in determining supply and material requirements including vendor quote solicitations, order write-ups, and project billing.
- Confer with customers to field incoming questions or seek additional information.
- Interface with Leadership to review current conditions.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain commitment to the company’s Quality Statement.
- Make occasional local pickups and deliveries with a company pickup truck as needed.
Requirements
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in common business and estimating software tools.
- Problem-solving skills and sound judgment in evaluating project requirements.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in estimating, construction, or a related field.
- Familiarity with project coordination or contract management principles.
