Roofing Estimator

Responsibilities

• Complete detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets.
• Prepare quotations from architectural drawings.
• Perform clerical duties associated with keeping up filing and job folders.
• Read construction blueprints, drawings, plans and specifications and prepare estimates.
• Gather and calculate take‑off data from a digital take‑off program.
• Build and retain relationships with vendors.
• Ensure thoroughness of estimates and help with ease of construction by field operations.
• Keep and track bid schedule.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; college degree or some college experience preferable.
• Experience in estimating construction or architectural products.
• Experience in reading construction drawings and specifications.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with digital takeoff programs (e.g., Edge estimating software, OST, Quickbid).
