Permanent position in Maryland. Salary range: $110k – $170k+.
About the role
The Roofing Estimator procures projects and hands off the jobs to ensure profitable completion of each project.
Responsibilities
- Review the market and identify jobs to bid (commercial new construction and renovation; all types of roofing).
- Compile a takeoff from plans and specs for labor, materials, equipment, etc.
- Find manufacturers and subcontractors as part of assembling pricing.
- Put together a proposal for owner/contractor/developer clients.
- Hand off work to the project management team and communicate with field managers so they can take ownership of the project (some project management required).
- Help create the material orders.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.
Requirements
- Experience in commercial roofing estimating.
- Knowledge of all roofing types and comfort with reroof and new construction.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills and a good work ethic.
- Relationships with clients in the central Mid-Atlantic region is a plus.
