Lube Technician

About the role

Join the Take 5 Family as a Lube Technician! We're looking for outgoing, customer-focused individuals with a positive attitude. No prior experience is necessary—we provide full training on oil changes, wiper blade/air filter replacements, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. This role is fast-paced, similar to restaurant or retail environments, and offers a hassle-free, stay-in-your-car experience for customers.

What you’ll do

• Drain motor oil and change oil filters
• Grease chassis fittings
• Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure
• Inspect and top off vehicle fluids
• Assist customers in selecting oil types and additional services
• Process payments for services performed
• Perform coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the shop floor
• Maintain cleanliness in the shop, office, and restrooms

Requirements

• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit safely
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
• Must be alert and aware of surroundings at all times
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions
• Strong focus on learning oils, services, and procedures (initial training may feel intensive)
