Lube Technician

About the role

Take 5 is hiring customer service-focused Lube Technicians. We train you to perform oil changes, replace wiper blades and air filters, fill tires with air, and other light maintenance services. The role is fast-paced, similar to restaurants or retail environments, with the opportunity to meet new people every day.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil and change oil filters
• Grease chassis fittings
• Wash windshields and adjust tire pressure
• Inspect and top off vehicle fluids
• Assist customers in selecting oil types and additional services
• Process payments for services performed
• Perform coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the shop floor
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathroom

Requirements

• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit safely
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods
• Must be alert and aware of surroundings at all times
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions
• Strong customer service orientation with an outgoing and positive attitude

Training will be provided, including detailed knowledge of oils and services. The initial period may feel intensive as you learn the role.
