About the Role
Mitsubishi Power Americas Inc. is seeking a LTSA Service Manager to lead the planning, execution, and management of service scopes for customer contracts—including Long Term Service Agreements, maintenance agreements, and transactional services. This role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to manage complex field service operations with minimal supervision. You will collaborate with internal support teams and customers to plan and implement outages, applying engineering skills and commercial awareness while driving a zero-harm safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
- Leads cross-functional planning of outages and service events for execution
- Manages project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
- Coordinates field service operations, including tool and supplier management
- Interfaces directly with customers to ensure contract compliance and satisfaction
- Supports warranty resolution, parts logistics, and quality system implementation
- Tracks cross-functional internal planning efforts for outage event planning and logistic deliverables
- Maintains accurate information in various company systems utilized for outage planning
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals and supports internal process improvement
- Communicates effectively with management, including timeliness and accuracy of required reporting activities
- Frequent travel to customer plant sites for planning outage and execution support
- Maintains the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, other Engineering disciplines, or equivalent degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in Power Generation, preferably in field service
- Strong technical experience with gas turbines, generators, and steam turbines
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and technical documentation
- Ability to create outage schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6) scheduling software
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and practices
- Project management experience delivering sophisticated and high-value projects to customers
- Dedicated, self-starting, creative individual with proven knowledge of combustion turbine plants, project engineering skills, and good commercial sense
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM system experience, and basic SharePoint/database navigation
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus
