LTD Sr Ability Analyst , Home Depot

About the role

The Long Term Disability Sr. Ability Analyst primarily investigates claims to determine if the insured person qualifies for LTD benefits and monitors claims for ongoing eligibility. This role supports our mission of helping customers rebuild their lives after an unexpected event or illness while following corporate claim standards, policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information from the claimant, employer, and medical provider(s) to make Long-Term Disability decisions
• Analyze medical and financial information to determine eligibility for benefits
• Provide exceptional customer service using professional written and verbal communication skills
• Maintain a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
• Help to create a positive team environment that is inclusive to all employees

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience providing quality customer service is required
• 1+ years of claims experience is a plus
• Experience with medical terminology is a plus
• Experience with THAA preferred
• High School Diploma/GED is required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a high-level of quality and accuracy, while meeting productivity targets in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to thrive in a structured team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously

Training

• Start Date: 09/15/2026
• Length of Training: 6-8 weeks
• Training Hours: Core business hours M-F
• Work Hours After Training: 40 hours M-F; Hybrid
• As a condition of employment, you will be required to successfully complete a multi-week New Hire Training Course

Work arrangement

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
