About the role

Administrative responsibility for delivery of services through the Social Service Office. To provide social work supervision to staff social workers and to provide necessary back-up when these social workers are unavailable. To participate with Administration and other disciplines in the development of programs, policy, and priority setting regarding Social Services and resident care. To provide direct and indirect service, to identify and meet the medical and non-medical related social and emotional needs of the resident and family at the time of admission, during treatment and care in the facility, and at the time of discharge. Coordinates benefits management, financial and psychosocial planning, discharge planning and external resource referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative responsibility for delivery of services through the Social Service Office
  • Provide social work supervision to staff social workers
  • Provide necessary back-up when staff social workers are unavailable
  • Participate with Administration and other disciplines in the development of programs, policy, and priority setting regarding Social Services and resident care
  • Provide direct and indirect service to identify and meet the medical and non-medical related social and emotional needs of the resident and family at the time of admission, during treatment and care in the facility, and at the time of discharge
  • Coordinate benefits management, financial and psychosocial planning, discharge planning and external resource referrals

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social services or related field
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • 2-4 years recent experience in specialty
  • 2-4 years of long term care experience with geriatric population

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Schedule

  • Days, 40 hours per week
  • 13-week assignment
  • Start date: 8/31/2026
