About the role
We are seeking a motivated Manager of for a 13-week assignment at an Acute Care Hospital in VA.
Qualifications
- Required Experience: Recent Leadership experience in an Acute Care setting
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information Management or Associate Degree in Health Information Management (Prefers experience in the related field over education requirements)
Skills
- Experience as a HIM Director
- Minimum of five‑seven (5‑7) years experience in Health Information Management Directorship role
- Experience in electronic health record management and revenue cycle functions required
- Large acute care facility experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
