About the role
Knows and uses the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Evaluates response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement. Accepts delegated nursing measures for which he or she is prepared, qualified, and licensed to perform.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individual patients using the nursing process
- Collaborate with healthcare team members
- Assess patient response to interventions and progress toward goals
- Perform delegated nursing measures within scope of preparation, qualification, and licensure
Requirements
- Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
- Successful completion of orientation
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred
