About the role

The LPN shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. This individual shall provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures. The LPN will administer medications and report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN. For the LPN within Employee Health, the individual will be responsible for new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, individualized, goal-directed patient care under RN supervision
  • Follow the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures
  • Administer medications and report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN
  • Conduct new hire and annual health screenings (Employee Health role)
  • Observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Work both independently and in a team environment
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in Nursing or completion of LPN program
  • Active LPN license
  • BLS certification
  • Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required based on department

Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and relevant computer software
  • Strong team leadership, organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult situations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
