LPN - Stepdown (Advanced Care)

About the role

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an advanced care unit specializing in caring for acutely unstable patients. Work environment: a fast-paced, team-oriented unit with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio, utilizing advanced equipment such as cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and lines.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient assessments
• Administering oral and IV medications
• Performing trach care and dressing changes
• Documenting care plans after RN assessments
• Performing comprehensive patient assessments
• Implementing and modifying care plans
• Ensuring patient safety
• Collaborating with healthcare teams
• Seizure monitoring in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Documentation, safety, and communication with patients and families

Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Relevant experience
