About the Role
The ideal candidate will be an LPN or a Medical Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
- Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
- Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
- Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical records.
- Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
- Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
- Maintains the integrity of the office.
Requirements
LPN Specialist
- Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
- Active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Preferred: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Medical Assistant Specialist
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
- Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Current BLS certification or to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
- 1 year experience in a primary care setting.
