LPN Specialist Float Or Medical Assistant Specialist Float - Full Time

Essential Functions

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records.
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Affords assistance to the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintains the integrity of the office.

Schedule

MON-THURS 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. (SOME FRIDAYS)

Requirements

LPN Specialist Requirements

• Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• PREFERRED Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements

• Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Additional Qualification: 1 Year experience in primary care setting. Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment.
