LPN SPECIALIST OR MEDICAL ASSISTANT SPECIALIST FLOAT - FULL TIME

Summary/Objective

The ideal candidate should be an LPN or a Medical Assistant.

Essential Functions

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs via telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections, documenting as required.
• Identifies and provides patient and family education needs.
• Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergency situations.
• Adheres to Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting patient records.
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain office integrity.
• Affords assistance to physicians with medical office procedures.
• Maintains the integrity of the office.

Requirements

LPN Specialist Requirements

• Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing, active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• PREFERRED: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements

• Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Required Current BLS certification or obtain within first 90 days of employment.
