LPN SPECIALIST / PARAMEDIC- URGENT CARE - FULL TIME

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical record.
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.

Requirements

• LPN Specialist – Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license; CPR certification; ACLS & PALS required within first 90 days of employment; IV certification required within 90 days of employment.
• LPN Specialist – Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in ER, critical care, urgent care, or hospital setting.
• Paramedic – Required: Licensed Paramedic under the state of Florida; CPR certification; ACLS & PALS required within first 90 days of employment.
• Paramedic – Preferred: Two years’ experience in the field, in ER or urgent care setting.
