Job Duties
- Maintains facility clinical systems to facilitate quality resident care.
- Delivers basic nursing care to residents according to care plans.
- Develops and directs RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure high quality care.
- Conducts ongoing assessments and revises care plans based on resident condition.
- Works with ADON and DON to resolve resident care and family issues.
- Documents interventions and resident/family education efforts accurately.
- Conducts rounds to assess resident conditions and clinical practices.
- Administers medications and IVs as per the care plan.
- Makes suggestions for treatment plans to meet residents' needs.
- Monitors resident behavior, vital signs, and symptoms.
- Reports findings to nursing supervisors and completes incident reports.
- Maintains residents' skin to prevent pressure sores.
- Performs various nursing administrative tasks.
- Plays a role in the recruitment, selection, and orientation of new staff.
- Supervises staff for timely responses to call lights and provides feedback.
- Maintains schedule adherence, monitors job performance, and provides corrective action.
Requirements
- Current LPN or RN license in State.
- Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
- At least one year of experience as a LPN or RN in a Long Term Care setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Matrixcare preferred.
