LPN/RN Days
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Charge Nurse within our healthcare facility. This vital leadership role involves overseeing patient care, including providing medications and treatments, completing assessments, communicating with physicians, directing nursing assistant staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care (PCC), and have a strong background in care settings such as long-term care, assisted living, medical offices, or acute care, with specialty areas like geriatrics, skilled nursing, rehab, and dementia care preferred.
Berkshire Place is a Medicare 5-Star rated facility (the highest designation) and has some of the highest staff-to-patient ratios in the country, with first-class, modern facilities (including all private patient rooms).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations per care plans and medical orders.
- Administer medications, treatments, perform catheterizations, gastrostomy tube feedings, and other nursing duties while adhering to HIPAA regulations and sterile techniques.
- Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR/EHR Point Click Care (PCC).
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, medical imaging coordination, and diagnostic assessments.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care, hospice, infectious disease management, and orthopedic, cardiac, and stroke rehab/recovery, in addition to common ailments associated with aging for long-term care.
- Respond effectively to emergencies such as acute episodes requiring rapid intervention.
Requirements
- Valid LPN or RN MA license required.
- Proven experience working in an acute care, skilled nursing facility, rehab center, medical practice, or assisted living preferred.
- Familiarity with the PCC EMR/EHR system and proficiency in medical documentation standards and healthcare regulations.
- Experience administering medications, treatments, and injections.
- Knowledge of complex patient populations, with geriatrics preferred.
- Skills in managing patients with chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease or other memory impairments; familiarity with hospice and palliative care practices beneficial.

$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
