Pay
Hiring Range: $28.14 - $41.12. The final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

- Scheduled Hours: 9:00am–5:30pm
- Shift: Day Shift, 8 Hours
- Hours: 40 per week

This role performs selected and delegated nursing tasks in the care of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assesses and obtains a patient’s basic health status, records, and related data according to standard procedure and needs of patient and their families.
- Administers medications, performs treatments as ordered, and operates equipment according to policy and procedure.
- Performs venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs, and administers vaccinations.
- Participates in implementation and evaluation of care plan including long and short-term goals, nursing actions, and teaching.
- Documents patient care according to standard procedure; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to Provider and/or RN; assists in analyzing and interpreting patient data.
- Assists provider with treatments, procedures, and special tests as required or directed.
- Communicates with patients via electronic, telephonic, and in-person methods, per scope of practice.
- Collaborates with other health care providers to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Maintains a safe environment.
- Complies with established departmental policies and procedures.
- Attends meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
- Participates in Quality Improvement initiatives in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to a professional, tolerant, civil, and accepting environment for all employees, patients, and visitors.
- Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a Practical Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to gather information, build relationships, and provide exceptional service to patients.
Unless certification, licensure, or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility may be substituted for the above requirements.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work is of heavy demand, involving standing and walking most of the time, with the possibility of pushing heavy equipment and bending frequently.
- Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment.
