LPN - Regional Float Pool - Full Time - Nights - Mercy Washington and Surrounding Communities

About the Role

The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) will utilize theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients. The Regional Resource LPN will float between designated Community Mercy Hospital facilities in the East Region.

This full-time, night-shift position offers a sign-on bonus of $2,000, competitive base pay determined by experience, and additional shift differentials: $2.75 for evenings, $3.75 for nights, and $1.50 for weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to adult/geriatric patients across multiple units and facilities.
• Float between assigned hospitals, adapting to diverse clinical environments and patient populations.
• Work in various units, including but not limited to:
  • Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Medical Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, Medical Stepdown, Surgical Stepdown
  • Cardiac Telemetry, Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care, Oncology, Neurology, Emergency Department
  • Behavioral Health, ICU, and more
• Build strong clinical assessment and communication skills while collaborating with diverse healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current LPN license in the hiring state, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• One year of recent bedside LPN experience for Med/Surg units; two years for specialties such as ED, ICU, etc.
• Certifications (must have to start):
  • For Med/Surg: BLS
  • For Critical Care: BLS, ACLS
  • For Emergency Department: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• IV certification required.
• Preferred: Epic experience.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk most of the time on duty.
• Significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance.
• Push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds.
