About the role

The Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports patient care in a clinic setting, working under supervision to document patient information, process recommendations, and handle administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists healthcare professionals to deliver patient care by preparing examination rooms, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records.
• Processes recommendations from healthcare providers, such as medication orders, referrals, and diagnostic tests, to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
• Provides patient education and support by explaining treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Handles administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient documentation, managing medical supplies, and assisting with medical billing and insurance claims.
• Supports medical professionals during appointments and clinic visits, providing crucial patient history information to best treat the patient.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and Diploma Practical Nursing.
• Licensure/Certification/Listing: Required: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure, successfully pass NC Nursing Boards for LPN and maintain a current and continuous unrestricted LPN License, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
