LPN (PRN)
Medcor is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse on a PRN (as-needed) basis to serve as an Onsite Health Technician in an employer-based, occupational health clinic located in Myerstown, PA. The clinic is situated in a modern, global pharmaceutical facility and focuses on occupational health and acute/episodic care. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3pm. This is an as-needed position with no guaranteed hours.
About the role
The Onsite Health Technician will provide primary clinical care in an occupational and urgent care health clinic, supervise allied healthcare staff, and collaborate with Medcor’s medical and operational leadership as well as key client contacts.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs)
- Build and maintain internal team relationships
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
- Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings
- Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
- Perform case management, medical charting, and OSHA record-keeping
Requirements
- Valid licensure for the position
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong computer and technology skills (e.g., cell phones, texting, fax machines, EMR software)
- Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Passion for providing high-quality patient care
- Ability to work in a fun, engaging environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a worksite clinic environment
- Relevant occupational health experience
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
