What does the Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant do?
- Provides basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including taking vital signs, administering medications, preparing patients for exams, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, educating patients on self-care, and documenting patient information thoroughly.
- Maintains clear communication with the healthcare team and patients.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must have active Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Mississippi.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a doctor's office as an LPN or Medical Assistant.
- Certified Medical Assistant.
Physical Demands
- This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination.
- Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs.
- Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range are also required.
