Medical Practice LPN

Responsibilities

• Prepares materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist clinician with the patient's medical exam.
• Obtains the patient's history and medical information.
• Provides direct patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse or clinician.
• Collections and processes specimens as directed by the clinician and performs point of care testing.
• Administers medications, and vaccinations as directed by the clinician.
• Instructs the patient and family on how to perform clinician recommended preventive care, takes prescribed medication, prepares for tests, monitors treatment progress and notes symptom changes.
• Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and Models the Organizations values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Active LPN License based on state;
• BLS certification required within 30 days.

Experience

• Required: Active LPN License based on state; BLS certification required within 30 days.

Working Conditions

• Manual: Little or no manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
• Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk
• Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force
• Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
