Responsibilities
- Prepares materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist clinician with the patient's medical exam.
- Obtains the patient's history and medical information.
- Provides direct patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse or clinician.
- Collections and processes specimens as directed by the clinician and performs point of care testing.
- Administers medications, and vaccinations as directed by the clinician.
- Instructs the patient and family on how to perform clinician recommended preventive care, takes prescribed medication, prepares for tests, monitors treatment progress and notes symptom changes.
- Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Maintains and Models the Organizations values.
- Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Active LPN License based on state;
- BLS certification required within 30 days.
Experience
- Required: Active LPN License based on state; BLS certification required within 30 days.
Working Conditions
- Manual: Little or no manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
- Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk
- Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force
