LPN - Private Duty Nursing

About the role

This program offers new graduate LPN/LVNs hands-on training by working 1-on-1 with patients in home settings. You will gain skills in direct patient care, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical thinking, supported by experienced nurses providing mentorship and real-time feedback.

Responsibilities

• Using the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administering medications and treatments, monitoring effectiveness, and documenting progress
• Responding to changes in patient condition and reporting to supervisors or physicians
• Documenting collaboration and coordination of care
• Ensuring safety of environment and equipment, adhering to universal precautions

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active LPN/LVN license
• Current CPR certification
• PPD or chest X-ray if applicable
