What You'll Help With

The Spine clinic focuses on treating spinal diseases through minimally invasive methods to help patients live their lives without limitations or discomfort. You will provide practical nursing support under the guidance of physicians or mid-level practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Supports the delivery of quality care in a physician practice or clinic setting.
• Complies with all relevant policies and standards.
• Assists with patient assessments, specimen collection, and diagnostic procedures.
• Coordinates telehealth clinics and performs lab procedures.
• Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean, safe condition.
• Documents patient information accurately and promptly.
• Provides patient education and assists with referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Assists with lab procedures such as phlebotomy, peripheral sticks, and specimen preparation.
• Runs quality control tests and adheres to laboratory protocols.
• Performs x-ray procedures safely and completes necessary documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or new graduate eligible for Virginia licensure.
• One year of experience in a physician office preferred.
• Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN).
• Licensed Radiologic Technician certification if performing radiology.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required.
• Customer-driven attitude, positive demeanor, strong communication skills, and professional appearance.
• Ability to solve problems and communicate effectively with various individuals.
• Keyboarding skills for automated computer systems.
