LPN or Medical Assistant - 40 Hours Weekly - Family Medicine

About the role

Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to serve in our family practice at The Lights Clinic in West Fargo, North Dakota. This position works Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations required.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN, Physician, and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
• Performs identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age‑related category.

Qualifications

Education

Education as required for licensure.

Licensure & Certification

• LPN: North Dakota LPN license required upon hire; Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.
• CMA: Current registration or certification as a medical assistant OR verifiable completion of a medical assistant program with certification required within one year of hire (must pass within two attempts).
• CMA: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire; cannot administer medication prior to MA‑III registration.
• Both LPN & CMA: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.

Pay

Compensation range: $21.72 – $32.58 per hour
