LPN or MA/ENDOCRINOLOGY - M-F (8:00-4:30) - Toledo OH - FT

General Summary

This position assists physicians with patient care, prepares patients for visits, and performs clerical duties in a busy office setting.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• Escorting patients to exam room.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
• Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• Administering injections.
• At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• Ordering and maintaining exam room supplies and instruments.
• Following up with lab work and/or xrays.
• Variety of clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• Current State LPN licensure required or MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA).
• Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.

Education

• Practical Nursing education or MA Certification.
• Prior experience in a medical office is preferred.

Benefits

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. The Sign-On Bonus is payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
