LPN or CMA - Internal Medicine - FT
About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. They will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of patients, document thorough medical histories, administer medications or treatments as ordered, provide technical support to healthcare professionals, counsel patients and family members on prevention and treatment plans, and demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing expertise.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of patients
- Document a thorough medical history from patients
- Administer medications or treatments as ordered
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
- Counsel patients and family members on prevention and treatment plans
- Demonstrate competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise
- In departments where applicable, responsibilities may include patient scheduling, insurance and guarantor validation, and verification of demographic information
- Coordinate provider schedules across multiple locations and manage daily scheduling adjustments
Requirements
Must have graduated from a school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training, or experience requirements. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility. Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice.
Qualifications

$20.24 - $28.68 per hour
Schedule
Full time, 8 Hours - Day Shifts, Monday - Friday
