ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Performs general clinical care to patients.
- Screens patients for appropriate information.
- Utilize knowledge and skills in the safe implementation of basic preventative and therapeutic nursing care of assigned patient/family as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes.
- Aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients and documents accurately in the patient's chart.
- Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls.
- Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions, within scope of practice.
- Prepares exam rooms including re-stocking of treatment areas.
- Performs delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards as observed by the register nurse if applicable.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the health care team in coordination of the patient's care as evidenced by other department feedback.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- LPN Required
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Valid state license to practice practical nursing.
- CPR Certification Preferred: Word Processing and computer experience.
- Certified Medical Assistant Required: Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants or equivalent work experience under the NHA.
- Prefers Word Processing and computer experience.
- One year of MA experience in an office setting
