LPN Office/Clinic-Family Practice

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance and delivery of patient care duties.
• Provides administrative support throughout the practice.
• Assists the provider in examination and treatment of patients.
• Performs miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of the provider.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in patients' charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Participates in cross-training to enhance efficiency and continuity of delivery of patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse Current Ohio LPN license in the state of Ohio.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments, and the public.
• Follows directions, accepts orders, and performs repetitive tasks.
• Works under time constraints, multi-tasks, and works autonomously with little direction.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows directions.
• Practical knowledge in examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion is preferred.
