LPN - Neuro Trauma Intermediate 6D

About the role

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under RN supervision or direction, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Coordinates care with other departments, maintains professional accountability, and delivers high-acuity care in a 16-bed Neuro Trauma Progressive Care Unit. Manages therapies such as lumbar drains, vasopressors, oxygen systems, and insulin drips. Opportunities for cross-training and career advancement into ICU units are available.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process under RN supervision or direction
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality

• Deliver high-acuity care in a 16-bed Neuro Trauma Progressive Care Unit
• Manage therapies including lumbar drains, vasopressors, oxygen systems, and insulin drips

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience
• Active LPN license
• Must meet physical demands, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• New or experienced LPNs are welcome

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• IV certification (preferred)
