LPN - Medical Surgical and Urology

About the role

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care on Med/Surg and Urology units, focusing on kidney disease and related conditions.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient information and administer medications
• Document treatments and manage equipment
• Monitor vital signs and ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
• Involve patients and families in care planning
• Prioritize direct care and explain procedures to patients
• Respond to emergent situations
• Perform IV therapy and medication management
• Monitor blood products
• Provide discharge education

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program
• Current Florida LPN licensure
• BLS certification
• IV therapy certification within three months of hire

Qualifications

Preferred experience includes one year in acute care or three years in long-term care.
