About the Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, collaborating as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contribute to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The role involves providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly or indirectly impacts patient outcomes for patients, families, and significant others.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities.
• Contribute to the implementation of patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, and institutional policies.
• Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients, families, and significant others.

Requirements

• Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Current healthcare provider BLS certification (required prior to completion of orientation).

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited LPN program.
• No prior job-related work experience required.

Skills

• Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.

• Effective interpersonal communication skills.

Schedule

7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week (72 hours per pay period).
