About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Complies with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
• Provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others.

• Minimum Level of Education: Diploma Program
• Preferred Educational Qualifications: None
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, Current AHA BLS certification, Certified to administer medications
• Experience: No prior job-related work experience
• Knowledge/Skills: Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor, Basic computer knowledge, Strong organization skills, Effective interpersonal and communication skills
