About the role
LPN Medication Nurse responsible for providing licensed nursing support in a senior living environment. Play a vital role in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and ensuring resident safety through clinical precision and regulatory adherence.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real time and support care plan updates.
- Monitor resident symptoms, report adverse reactions, and observe physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and transcribe physician orders.
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in good standing.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong assessment and documentation skills.
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.
