About the role

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing over 100 years of quality care and services to seniors in a Christian environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing professional nursing care to residents in long-term care under supervision of RNs, advanced practice providers, or physicians.
  • Assessing residents, administering medications and treatments as ordered, and ensuring their health, comfort, and safety.
  • Documenting resident interactions, outcomes, and care plans accurately.
  • Recognizing problems, recommending solutions, and responding effectively to emergent situations.
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members and maintaining effective relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Counseling residents and families on prevention and treatment strategies.
  • Performing testing, evaluating data, and supporting resident education and self-care programs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program with an unencumbered LPN license.
  • Experience or coursework in IV therapy/management if required by state regulations.
  • Minimum of 400 hours of clinical experience or relevant work experience as an LPN.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, competencies, and continuing education units.

  • Knowledge of nursing principles, resident care standards, and psychosocial needs.
  • Effective communication, confidentiality, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across varied shifts, including nights and weekends, with additional shift differentials and premiums.
