LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse - Full-Time

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under supervision, ensuring their health, safety, and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents, administer medications, treatments, and perform testing as needed.
• Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and maintain accurate records.
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to emergent situations.
• Contribute to resident education and develop self-care programs.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare team members and communicate effectively while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred.
• Valid LPN license with the State Nursing Board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.
• Experience or clinical hours across the lifespan; additional training for IV therapy if required.

Skills

• Competency in resident care, medication administration, and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, handle emergent situations, and communicate clearly.
