LPN IV Cert - Cardiology

Come join our team as a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse with BJC Medical Group in Cardiology located in O'Fallon & St. Peter's, MO. Outpatient preferred; IV Certification and Cardiology Experience.

The Staff LPN Ambulatory is responsible for providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider in an ambulatory care setting. BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing services to patients under the supervision of a physician or other licensed provider within the scope of practice for the LPN.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point of care testing and medication administration.
• Assists with medical office procedures and initiating/discontinuing IV fluids as directed.
• Follows HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, Medication Management and Infection Prevention procedures for cleaning and sterilization of equipment and/or instruments.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current LPN license
• IV Certification preferred
• Cardiology experience preferred

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Day shift
• No call, no weekends, no holidays
