About the role

BJC Home Health is seeking a new LPN to provide care to patients in the Missouri region. The position involves a 40-hour work week with flexible shifts, including weekend rotations. Paid on-call nights and two holidays per year are provided. Mileage reimbursement at IRS rates is also offered.

Overview

BJC Home Care offers comprehensive home care services including skilled nursing, adult and pediatric hospice, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, and specialty programs like asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic, and wound care. The department serves thousands of patients across Missouri and Illinois, with a focus on providing high-quality, on-site care.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatments and procedures within the scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Provides patient teaching and discharge planning under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
• Performs patient assessment and evaluation considering the patient’s age and developmental needs.
• Develops and updates the plan of care based on the patient’s age and developmental needs.
• Implements the plan of care according to the patient’s age and developmental needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• LPN - IV Certification preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Less than 2 years of experience.
