LPN-Graduate Nurse Resident - CPC (PT, Nights)

About the Role

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details

LPN-Graduate Nurse Resident or Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Department: 4H Cardiac Progressive Care
Status: Part-Time - minimum of 16 hours per pay period (0.2 FTE)
Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00pm - 7:30am)

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed; must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.
• Experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements/Demands

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
