Job Summary Provides patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring actions adhere to regulations. Administers intravenous therapy and medications, maintaining patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. Builds caring relationships to facilitate health and healing. Performs additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities Communicates and collaborates with registered nursesCollects patient data and assists in planning and implementing careEvaluates care plans and administers prescribed medications and intravenous therapiesProvides patient and group education on health topicsParticipates in quality improvement and ongoing educational activitiesCompletes assigned goals Qualifications Minimum of IV therapy training compliant with state regulations6 months of experience and successful IV therapy training for certain statesEducation from an accredited nursing program or approved IV therapy course Skills & Certifications Computer literacyBLS certification within 14 days of hireLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensureMS-IV certification; state-specific IV therapy training as required
