LPN ER Full Time

Position Responsibilities

• Charting reflects that data is collected and recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
• Patients' responses to interventions are documented and there is evidence of communication to RN.
• Implements and coordinates the plan of care with collaboration from RN.
• Physician orders are transcribed/or verified accurately and orders are implemented on time and are prioritized and unclear and unsafe orders are questioned.
• Makes rounds with physicians when possible and/or routinely checks with all physicians to determine assistance needed.
• Recognizes crisis events and intervenes in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates responsibility for own competency/mandatories and annual performance evaluation by maintaining all personal current personal data.
• Maintains all personal current personal data.
• Prepares for the performance evaluation conference by submitting completed skills list, education attendance documents, and self-evaluation form one month prior to due date.
• Assists with unit orientation, training, and continuing education of students and employees as appropriate.
• Trains and supports new people with enthusiasm and supports activities to make them feel welcomed and important.

Experience

• Previous nursing experience preferred.

Education

• Basic education necessary for Nursing licensure required.

Required Special Qualifications

• Current Alabama or Multi-State License required or the ability to obtain.
• BLS required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, excellent critical thinking and customer service.
