LPN, EMT, MA, ATC - Orthopedic Urgent Care
Position Summary
TRIA Orthopedic Urgent Care is seeking a LPN, MA, ATC, or EMT to work in our fast-paced environment. Patients range from children to elderly patients with a wide range of acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. The position works 12-hour shifts with a weekend rotation. 1 year of orthopedic experience preferred but will train the right candidate. Utilizing broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, the position aids providers according to PNHS standards and policies.
Work Schedule
36 hours weekly, .9 FTE, with every 3rd weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing. One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
- Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current MN EMT License. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
- Athletic Trainer (ATC): Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer required. Current license with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice required. NATA member in good standing. Must have a valid NPI number.
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
