LPN - Emergency Department, Nights

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements. The LPN functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care, and blends compassion, caring and technologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic care to the patient.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle
• Utilize the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements
• Function within the framework of LPN license and organizational policy and procedures
• Demonstrate professional growth and accountability
• Guide ancillary staff
• Collaborate with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care
• Blend compassion, caring and technologically appropriate competency to deliver holistic care to patients

Qualifications

• Graduate of an LPN program (Required)
• New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for (Preferred)
• ACLS if working in Emergency Department (Required)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in Emergency Department (Required within 180 Days)
• LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days
