About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to triage patients, expedite referrals to specialty offices, and manage patient communications. This on-site, full-time position serves pediatric, adult, family, and women's health patients.
Responsibilities
- Triage patients
- Expedite patient referrals to specialty offices, answer patient and specialty office calls, and complete referral requests
- Maintain ongoing tracking and documentation on referrals
- Work independently and unsupervised while maintaining a superior work ethic
- Ensure referrals are addressed in a timely manner
- Remind patients of their appointments
Requirements
- Certificate of Completion (Licensed Practical Nurse degree)
- Must be IV certified
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification (required upon starting work)
- 1 year of healthcare or nursing experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
