About the role

The ambulatory nursing care team sees 5.2 million outpatient and clinic visits annually. This position is located at the Southwest Children’s Clinic in Fargo, ND (2701 13th Ave S, Fargo, ND 58103). The clinic operates Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients
- Documents a thorough medical history from patient
- Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered
- Provides technical support to healthcare professionals
- Counseling patients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- If IV therapy/management skills are required, must have graduation from a Board‑approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Hold an unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing board and/or possess multi‑state licensure privileges.
- Obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.

Pay
Salary range: $21.00 – $29.50 per hour. A $15,000 sign‑on bonus is offered.
Schedule
Shift varies; flexible schedule. Weekly hours: 32.00. Clinic hours are Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm. The role works 4 to 8 days per pay period.
