About the role
The LPN Outpatient Clinic Float Team offers a unique opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses who enjoy variety, flexibility, and growth. This role supports multiple outpatient clinics across the CHS ambulatory network, requiring reliable transportation throughout the Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley regions.
Responsibilities
- Provides individualized, goal-directed, and family-centered patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrates proficiency according to South Carolina's nursing laws.
- Delivers safe and effective care, collaborating with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results and outcomes.
- Works in multiple physical locations within MUSC Health, gaining exposure to diverse clinic settings and expanding clinical skills.
- Builds strong relationships across care teams and helps ensure consistent, high-quality patient care throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Minimum of six months experience as LPN required.
- Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
- A current CPR card is required; either an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer card.
- Effective communication skills, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy.

Pay
The pay rate is hourly, with a pay grade of Health-24. The scheduled weekly hours are 40, with a shift of M-F 8am-4:30pm, no weekends or nights.

Physical Requirements
