Overview Of The Nursing Role

This position involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals or a Registered Nurse (RN). The role requires maintaining professional accountability and coordinating patient care across departments.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care in accordance with established protocols
• Collaborating with other healthcare team members
• Ensuring compliance with licensure and certification requirements
• Maintaining current Basic Life Support certification and acquiring additional certifications as needed
• Performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient mobility assistance

Qualifications and Skills

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience
• Valid LPN license and adherence to state licensing requirements
• Experience level can vary from new to seasoned practitioners
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks
• Preferred certifications include IV certification within one year of hire and other unit-specific credentials
